This is a wonderful small group clinic to improve self awareness, body language, posture as well as better understanding of herd dynamics. Designed for those who are interested in better horsemanship, self improvement or that work with others, especially in therapeutic settings with horses!

November 22 (Sunday): Exploring the Equine Hoof with Ida Hammer
A wonderful foundation to better understand the foundation (hooves) of our horses.
This is a five hour lecture using Power Point and preserved cadaver specimens.
Classes are 10am to 4pm.

November 23 (Monday): Unveiling the Hoof and Neck with Ida Hammer and Deborah Davies

November 24 (Tuesday): Beginning Trimmer Class with Ida Hammer
Classes start at 9am and end around 5pm.
Instructor starts with a complete discussion of all the parts of the hoof and their function.
Each participating student will have a cadaver leg, which they will assess and map before trimming.
The trimming will begin step by step applying the correct trim to the individual hoof, with focus on proper tool handling and techniques used in the field.
After the students have finished their trim, they will be given the opportunity to explore their hoof, to identify vital structures and the perimeters of which one must stay within to achieve optimal soundness.
We will finish with a dissection to further explore the anatomy of the distal limb.
